New Thoughts

Life has been very busy.

You can’t make someone have empathy any more than you can teach a fish to walk or breathe air. Some people just don’t have it. It will always amaze me. Recently I’ve met a few people very sweet. Funny thing to witness, some will be nervous with me like they need to talk more making up for my lack of talking, I guess. But when they start to tell me how I feel and think that is comical. If they don’t know what to say, okay but to tell me how I feel about being mute like they’ve rationalized it in their minds and understand. Or worse I had someone ask me “oh you still don’t have your voice, I guess it doesn’t make any difference anyway”. Seriously!?! I can’t even comment to that. I know I look like I’m a survivor and I am, learning sign and not giving up. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t matter.  I’m just surviving. Oh people!

To have peace we can’t expect anything from others. We can’t expect them to understand us and our lives they don’t live them they have their own to live. We can’t expect them to change. They are who they are. And wanting them to change will only bring stress to us and most likely end the relationship.

All we can do is decide if we can love them for who they are. Can we love them if they never change because they won’t and they will focus on themselves because they have a stressful life too. If yes, love them and show it, we never know what each other are dealing with.
