Ah no. Am I disabled? That’s a hard one to accept. I heard my husband say I was recently, I don’t remember who he was telling, but I was thinking, 'me disabled?' The government would like to say no because they would have to give me money lol. But googling the definition it says, physical or mental impairment or medical condition that substantially limits a major life activity. One of them even list muteness. Who wants to accept that you are less.

It’s true most of the jobs out there you need a voice. I’m sure I can list off some you don’t but up until now I have always used my voice for work. I was an ESL teacher, ‘manager of a restaurant’ , and ran a business that required customer communication. So now what do I do?

I’m intrigued with the deaf, they are so proud of being deaf. It’s not a disability to them. If asked they would not trade it. That’s self-acceptance right there.
